Mark Wild
Volunteer Non-Executive Director
Mark brings a wealth of leadership experience to Wildlife Network Tasmania through his ongoing work as Chief Executive Officer of Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania. In this role, he leads statewide efforts to reunite lost dogs with their families and to find loving homes for those in need. Mark is also a Director of Companion Animal Network Australia (CANA) and Chair of the Companion Animal Network Foundation (CANF), where he advocates nationally for animal rescue, welfare, and responsible pet ownership.
With a strong background in both the not-for-profit and corporate sectors, Mark is deeply committed to strategy, governance, and business excellence. His passion for animal welfare is matched by his dedication to creating systems that support sustainable, ethical practice across organisations. As Deputy President of the Tasmanian CPA Division and former Divisional Councillor, Mark brings invaluable financial and strategic insight to the WNT board.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mark is passionate about Tasmania’s unique wildlife and the volunteers who care for them. He believes in the importance of well-resourced, well-governed support systems for volunteers, and is committed to helping WNT grow its capacity and impact. His warm, strategic leadership and strong advocacy experience make him a vital part of the WNT team.
