About The Course
Fluid loss is one of the most urgent and life-threatening issues faced by wildlife in care. Dehydration and shock are extremely common in injured or orphaned animals and can quickly become fatal without the right response.
This hands-on workshop will give wildlife rehabilitators the practical skills and confidence to recognise, understand, and respond to dehydration and shock safely within their role as carers.
Participants will learn:
- How to identify signs of dehydration and shock in different species.
- Calculating fluid needs for various wildlife cases.
- Safe administration routes (oral, subcutaneous) and when veterinary intervention is essential.
Spaces are limited. Please register early to secure your place.
