Georgie Ibbott (Chair)

Volunteer Non-Executive Director

Georgie is a purpose-led leader, strategist, and advocate for community-driven change. As Chair of Wildlife Network Tasmania, Georgie brings over 17 years of board experience and a rich background in executive leadership, consulting, and governance across government, for-purpose and community sectors. With a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Commerce, and graduate membership with the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Georgie blends sharp strategic insight with deep empathy for the people and causes she serves.

Her leadership at WNT has helped embed strong governance and stakeholder trust, while ensuring the organisation remains grounded in the lived experience of wildlife volunteers. She believes in harnessing collective wisdom to shape thoughtful, inclusive decisions that deliver real-world impact.

Georgie’s expertise spans strategic planning, leadership development, and organisational sustainability, but what truly defines her is her care for people and community. She has worked shoulder-to-shoulder with grassroots initiatives, supported reform projects, and mentored leaders at all stages.

When not working, Georgie finds peace and inspiration in Tasmania’s wild coastline—often boating to remote bays and rivers. Her love for nature underpins her commitment to building a future where every animal and every volunteer feels seen, supported, and valued.
