Sandra Theis

Sandra is a highly experienced brand strategist and data expert with over 15 years of experience across the not-for-profit and corporate sectors. She currently works at Taronga Conservation Society, where she leads CRM, data analytics, and insights to support fundraising, marketing and conservation outcomes. Sandra’s career has focused on using insights, data, and storytelling to drive growth.
Sandra has held senior roles at Optus and Procter & Gamble, where she led insights and analytics teams through major projects and significant change. She has a proven ability to unite teams and stakeholders around shared purpose.
A committed wildlife volunteer, Sandra is a rescuer and carer with WIRES in NSW, where she also works on membership engagement and training within her branch. She brings both professional skill and personal dedication to the WNT Board.
Sandra is driven by a desire to support wildlife carers and rehabilitators through better systems, stronger networks, and sector-wide collaboration. Her strategic mindset, coupled with lived experience in wildlife rescue, enables her to advocate effectively for those working on the front lines. Sandra is based in Sydney and brings a national lens to her work, while deeply respecting the unique needs of Tasmania’s wildlife sector.
