Rehydration & Fluid Therapy in Tasmanian Mammals

Fluid loss is one of the most urgent and life-threatening issues faced by wildlife in care. Dehydration and shock are extremely common in injured or orphaned animals and can quickly become fatal without the right response.

This manual is a resource to support the hands-on workshop provided by WNT and under the guidance of a vet. It will give wildlife rehabilitators the practical skills and confidence to recognise, understand, and respond to dehydration and shock safely within their role as carers.
